The Quiet Miles are the ones nobody sees, the training runs, the recovery days, the sessions that keep a body upright before it gives out. I've run enough of them myself to know how much they matter
My story
The connection to anatomy and movement started in my younger years but evolved significantly during my Sports Science degree studies, completed in 2003. For a long stretch after that, my career took me somewhere else entirely: finance. It paid the bills, satisfying in helping people but there was always a sense that there was something more out there that would top up the value bucket.
Eventually I returned to a field where my interest had always been. A Diploma of Remedial Massage and Dry Needling certification followed, along with full practitioner membership with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. Alongside that came a growing client base of sports teams built through my work at Reset HQ. Today I practise at both Reset HQ, Mount Lawley, and Highgate.
Off the table, I am an avid runner with a deep family history in running. Marathons and ultramarathons have taken up my weekends for the past fifteen years. Add cycling, basketball, netball, football, and indoor climbing to that, and you've got someone who understands training loads from the inside, not just from a textbook.
I lean toward working with competitive athletes because that's where my own energy lives, but I am just as at home treating a desk worker who's seized up after a long week, an older client working on mobility, or anyone who just wants to feel better in their own body.
The Quiet Miles philosophy
The name comes from exactly that idea: the quiet, unseen miles that hold us together through training, work, stress, and everyday life. Often we don’t notice those miles until something gives out.
My approach sits on three things.
Movement: because bodies are built to move and most problems start when they stop.
Recovery: treated as an active choice rather than something that happens by accident.
Connection: every session starts with a conversation, not a fixed script.
In practice that means listening first, work out what's going on, and adjusting the session to your body rather than running the same routine on everyone who lies down on the table.
Locations
I treat clients at both Highgate and Reset HQ, Mount Lawley,
